The ExoPC is a slate computer with an 11.6 inch, 11366 x 768 pixel display and an Intel Atom processor. The computer ships in the US and Canada with Windows 7 preloaded, but in Germany a version of the same computer is sold under the WeTab brand name with a modified version MeeGo Linux.
If you can’t decide which operating system you’d rather run… you don’t have to. MeeGo Experts has posted an article (originally posted at the MeeGo AppLabs) showing how to multi-boot the tablet with MeeGo, Windows 7, and Ubuntu Linux.
The process is actually pretty similar to installing multiple operating systems on a desktop or laptop computer. The key differences are that the ExoPC doesn’t have an optical disc drive or keyboard. So you’re going to need a USB flash drive, SD card, or external disc drive. You’ll also need a USB keyboard and it wouldn’t kill you to have a USB mouse.
Of course, you’ll also need disc images for each of the operation systems you want to install and a fair bit of time and patients — the author of the tutorial says the whole thing can take around 6 hours, although based on my experience, I’d guess that the bulk of that time is devoted to installing Windows.
