Redsn0w update: Support iOS 5 beta 3 Jailbreaking

Apple released iOS 5 beta 3 to developers yesterday, and within minutes it was confirmed that you could use the latest version of the redsn0w tool to jailbreak an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad running the latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system. But it didn’t take long for users to identify a big problem: If you did jailbreak iOS 5 beta 3 yesterday many apps download from the App Store would crash as soon as you launched them.

Now the folks at the iPhone Dev Team have identified the problem and released a new version of redsn0w.

You can use redsn0w 0.9.8b2 to jailbreak any device running iOS 5 beta 1, beta 2, or beta 3. If you’ve already jailbroken your device, you don’t need to do it again — just use the new tool to perform a tethered reboot on your device and you should be able to run App Store apps again.
