TiVo app for iOS: supports iPhone, iPod touch

TiVo has been offering an iPad app which lets you schedule recordings, view program guides, find online video, or read cast bios and other information while you’re watching TV. Now the company has made the TiVo app a universal app, which means you can run it on an iPhone or iPod touch as well.

The TiVo app for iOS is available as a free download from the App Store.

It’s designed to work with a TiVo Premier digital video recorder, but the latest version also adds limited support for TiVo Series3 and TiVo HD set-to-boxes as well as RCN Premiere and Suddenlink DVRs. You can also now use the app in guest mode if you want to explore the features but you don’t actually have a supported DVR. [Source: mobiputing.com]
