Will the Lenovo IdeaPad U1 (Hybrid) ever see the light of day? Maybe so, and maybe soon, as the screenless laptop has shown up at the FCC, sans the tablet part which should be the Lenovo IdeaPad K1 / LePad that’s about to ship any day now.
The Lenovo IdeaPad U1 should work in the same way as the Eee Pad Transformer’s dock with a keyboard, battery and trackpad but it’ll go a step further and have its own Intel processor so it can run Windows 7. It’ll need a tablet part to complete the device and make it usable. That was last year though and they could just as easily skimp on the whole Windows thing and just go 100% Android. This year they downsized the whole device, and subsequently the tablet, down to 10.1-inches but remained quiet on the internals. So, We’ll see…

We’re taking bets on who’s sexier – Frankie off the Saturdays or ex-Pussycat Doll dancer Kim Wyatt? Will you help us decide? Oh, you will? That’s so selfless of you.
