Pre-order Asus Eee PC X101 to early September release

According to the recent pre-order page at ExcaliberPC - the Asus Eee PC X101 to arrive in the U.S. in early September, and at least for the moment when the ETA does not change, then 4 September. Ignore the current products that are clearly from another Eee PC. Originally we had heard it was due in July, which obviously never happened and we heard from Asus in late July that it come in August.

The Asus Eee PC X101 is one of the first (it's not actually the first one) the sub $ 200 netbook ($ 199 actually) come onto the market, allows with a cheap Intel Atom N435 processor and MeeGo operating system (and thus free of Windows to be taxes). Thanks to a 3-cell battery and an 8GB SSD, it should also slimmer and lighter than most of the typical 10-inch netbooks. There is a Windows version of this netbook, the X101H, the record also thicker to a standard hard drive, but we are not sure it is in the U.S. retail market, despite two appearances at the FCC.
