Google Android 4.0.3 Update with New Features

Shortly after launching the Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS aka Android 4.0, Google's latest update now bring up the OS. Android 4.0.3 update can be obtained starting today and is said to be able to fix several bugs as well as new APIs.

Still clear in our memory when the launch of ICS's first Android-based phones, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is accompanied by some software problems. Some time ago, Google launched the 4.0.2 update for the addition of mobile hotspot feature, 3G/4G data connection that is more optimal and others.

Well, now the latest update, Android 4.0.3 provide other features. The first is an additional API that allows the developer to make use of contacts, calendar, and camera capabilities such as video stabilization and others. Moreover, there is also an improvement in graphics, databases, spell-checking, Bluetooth and others.

Rockchip launches Tablet with Android Ice Cream Sandwich

Manufacturers of electronic devices from China seemingly do not want underestimated by the world. One is a Rockchip which claims to be doing the launch of the first tablet in the world with the Android OS Ice Cream Sandwich.

Rockchip planned launch would take place in the first week in December 2011. Tablet that has a name corresponding name of the company is using RK2918 ARM Cortex processor dual core 1.2 GHz.

Android 2.x phone and not designed for tablets, but Android 4.0 is optimized for both small and large screen with a keyboard that can adapt to a larger screen.

The video was released showing Android 4.0 running smoothly on a tablet with this RK2918 chip. Rockchip, we can expect to see and find affordable Android tablet that can run Android 4.0.

Mozilla Boot To Gecko (B2G) Project: New Web-based OS

Mozilla will build a new operating system is web-based, like Google Chrome OS. The project is called the Mozilla Boot to Gecko (B2G).

Technicians Mozilla, Andreas Gal said operating system will be used to smartphones and tablets. Mozilla believes the operating system can compete with other operating systems.

Initial step, Mozilla is likely to use the android kernel and drivers as a reference point. Mozilla says that the use Android in this project is minimized.

Various parties B2G doubt this project. The existence of the latest operating system can be confusing for users.
